Shalom!
I hope you had a fruitful week and peace in your relationships roundabout. The foundation of all relationship is GOD and you know HE is love.
Another step that you should take is to love yourself. In Mark 12:30-31. JESUS says, “And you shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.
And the second, like it is this, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’’
There’s no commandment greater than this.
One major factor that will help you to build healthy relationships is to love yourself. If you don’t love yourself it’ll be impossible for you to love others!
Expressing love for yourself goes beyond just eating well and dressing well, or always putting your own interests before that of others (as a matter of fact that is selfish, not loving).
The truth is that some of us are so conscious of our own weaknesses, faults and shortcomings that we don’t even think we are likeable.
Harboring an inferiority complex makes you shrink on the inside and avoid mixing with other people.
You can’t build a good relationship with other people when you don’t appreciate yourself because ultimately you’ll find it difficult to appreciate them too.
· Do you love yourself?
· Do you forgive yourself easily or do you carry about with you a feeling of condemnation, for your faults all the time?
· Do you feel like killing yourself sometimes?
Don’t feel bad about yourself because you don’t have good education. You feel you’re not good looking or you’ve been poor all your life and you’ve had about just enough of that or because you’re not like someone else who seems to have it all going for them.
· Learn to appreciate yourself while doing your best to improve whatever is changeable and
· Graciously accepting whatever is not (like the shape of your nose and such like)
· And flow in love towards others this week.
