Righteousness is defined by the dictionary as the quality of
being morally justified. In Christendom it is simply termed as
right standing with GOD. It is a quality that ushers us into
GOD'S presence effortlessly and gives us the boldness to ask
of HIM, knowing that we are acceptable to HIM.
Righteousness opens doors before us. How do we become
righteous? Righteousness comes by an act of faith, and it is
maintained or sustained by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT
within us. 2 Cor. 5: 21 says, "For He made Him who knew no
sin to be sin for us... that we might become the righteousness
of GOD in Him." This means that we do not have to struggle
to become righteous. If by faith we receive JESUS as the
LORD of our lives and our savior from sin, taking it away
and in exchange He gave us GOD'S righteousness. That
means were are in GOD'S class, placed there by His grace.
We have free access to HIM any time knowing that the power
of condemnation which is sin has been exchanged for right
standing with HIM. So don't be too humble to call yourself
righteous. GOD has made you so.
I think it calls for celebration!
