So when they had eaten breakfast, JESUS saud to Simon Peter, "Simon, son if Jonah, do you love me more than these?'" He said to Him. "Yes, Lord;you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs" John 21:15
Love is an essential commodity in our daily lives. It is like oil with which we eat our veggies. Love simply means to have a strong feeling of deep affection for somebody or something, for example, the love of a mother for her baby or more explicitly the love of a husband for his wife.
How do you show GOD you love HIM?
When you were newly born again, you were burning for passion for GOD. I am sure you made some covenants with GOD.
You told Him how much you loved HIM, and how you will serve HIM for the rest of your life.
But when trials came to test your faith, you automatically fell out of love with GOD; confirming that you only loved GOD when you were temptation free, or when things were going smoothly - not knowing that champions are made out of adversities, trials and temptations.
Stop and ponder for a while 🤔
I want you to hear GOD now asking:
DO YOU LOVE ME?
If you were physically handicapped would you still love me?
If you were deaf, would you still listen to my words?
If you were mute, would you still praise my name?
If that prayer is not answered or us being delayed, will you still serve in the house of GOD? Or will you still come to church?
If you still love me, why do you still sin?
If you love me, why are you ashamed of me?
If you love me, why do you neglect the poor?
Dear brethren, loving GOD goes beyond these,
Remember that nobody can tell how much you love GOD now, but on the last day, your love for GOD will come to light.
Maranatha!
